Pinellas County SR 60 Gulf-to-Bay Corridor Study

Madrid CPWG was part of the team that worked with the FDOT District 7 to complete a corridor study of SR 60. The study corridor included SR 60 from the McMullen-Booth Road to S. Fort Harrison Avenue and Drew Street from McMullen-Booth Road to N. Osceola Avenue. The assessment resulted in a base map of the corridor that described the current conditions and recommended solutions to improve traffic flow in the area.

The produced map included the following features:

• The number of lanes in each direction and the lanes widths
• The presence of signalization
• Both left turn lanes and right turn lanes, including their length
• Bicycle lanes
• Special pedestrian crossings
• All transit stops and any bus bays
• Speed limits

The study assessed the following:

• Traffic volume
• Level of service
• Major intersections
• Transit issues
• Freight issues
• Safety issues
• Land use
• Future Conditions
