Pinellas County SR 60 Gulf-to-Bay Corridor Study
Madrid CPWG was part of the team that worked with the FDOT District 7 to complete a corridor study of SR 60. The study corridor included SR 60 from the McMullen-Booth Road to S. Fort Harrison Avenue and Drew Street from McMullen-Booth Road to N. Osceola Avenue. The assessment resulted in a base map of the corridor that described the current conditions and recommended solutions to improve traffic flow in the area.
The produced map included the following features:
- The number of lanes in each direction and the lanes widths
- The presence of signalization
- Both left turn lanes and right turn lanes, including their length
- Bicycle lanes
- Special pedestrian crossings
- All transit stops and any bus bays
- Speed limits
The study assessed the following:
- Traffic volume
- Level of service
- Major intersections
- Transit issues
- Freight issues
- Safety issues
- Land use
- Future Conditions
The Madrid CPWG Team assisted with the FDOT District 7 assessment of the Pinellas County Gulf-to-Bay Study.
