Astatula Park and Boat Ramp Dock and Facility Improvements
Madrid CPWG was engaged to assist Lake County Official’s efforts to construct a boat ramp in Asatula, Florida. Madrid CPWG Engineers prepared construction documents associated with the floating dock, parking area, and restroom facility. 60%, 90%, 100%, and final construction documents were submitted to the County for review and comment. Madrid CPWG attended two design review meetings with County staff. The final plan was provided to County staff for submittal of required County building permits or health department permits. Madrid CPWG submitted the Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) documents to the St. Johns River Water Management District for permit/exemption request.
The Madrid CPWG designed Amenities at the park included:
- Floating Dock (1-Dock approx 40-ft long)
- Location of the prefabricated restroom (no water or sewer)
- Paved parking area
- SJRWMD Stormwater Permitting
The Madrid CPWG conducted multiple reviews with County officials to ensure the project design met their expectations.
